The Process
Getting your driver's license involves several important steps. We make it easy and straightforward.
In‑Class (Classroom & Behind‑the‑Wheel)
Get your permit
Although you can take the classes at 15 years and 5 months, we will not allow you to schedule drive sessions until you have a valid permit. The contracts required by the state are void after 6 months and then the process starts over. That 6 months starts the first day you attend class.
Sign up for a class session
See the dates of upcoming classes on the "upcoming classes" tab above. Submit your registration and $200 deposit on our registration page to hold your spot. The remainder of the cost is $475, the balance will be due before driving instruction begins.
Come to the 8 classes over the two week period
Due to new laws, you cannot be added to our drive log until you have completed all of the class sessions.
Added to the drive log
At the conclusion of the class we will add you to our drive log and you will be called to schedule drive times. This is generally done by class and birth date.
Schedule the first drive session
When we call we will schedule the first drive session. After seeing the student's ability and their time frame to get licensed, we will schedule the remaining 6 hours of driving instruction.
Issue DT certificate
After the driving is completed and payment is satisfied... We will then issue a DT certificate. This is the certificate you need to schedule your driver's exam in the state of OHIO. All DT Certificates will be mailed within 48 hours of your last drive.
Take your test
When you go to the exam station you need your permit and DT certificate. To schedule your exam... go online at bmvonline.dps.ohio.gov
Refresher Instruction (Optional)
If you need to use a vehicle to take your driver's exam or would like some refresher Instruction before your test, call our office, we offer that service at a discounted rate to our students.
Online Course
Get your permit
Get your valid temporary driving permit.
Sign up for online classes
Sign up for online classes with an approved provider (see our link to Aceable on the "Online Course" tab), and start the classes!
Submit Certificate of Completion
Once you receive your "Certificate of Completion", submit that certificate, your payment in full $465, and your training agreement (see registration page) to our office.
Added to drive log
We will add you to our drive log at that time and you will be called to schedule drive times in the order you were registered with us. We work on a first come first serve basis.
